Short version: We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and (with your permission) to understand which guides and tools people find useful. We don't advertise, we don't sell data, and we don't track you across other websites.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help sites remember your preferences and understand how people use them. Retire BFF uses cookies only for the purposes described below.

1. Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled.

2. Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how visitors use the site, which guides are read most, which tools get used, and where people drop off. This helps us improve the content. No advertising targeting or cross-site tracking occurs. IP addresses are anonymized before being sent to Google.

Reserved for future use. Retire BFF does not currently set any advertising or marketing cookies. The toggle exists so your preference is on file if we ever introduce them, we'll update this policy and re-ask for consent before doing so.

How to manage your preferences
You can change your cookie choices at any time:
- On this site: use the button below or the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.
- In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will affect site functionality.
- For Google Analytics specifically: you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Do Not Track
We respect browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. When DNT is enabled, we treat it as equivalent to declining optional analytics cookies.
Your privacy by region
Where the law requires opt-in consent for analytics, including the EEA and the UK, we do not load analytics cookies until you accept them. In regions that follow an opt-out standard, such as the United States, analytics run by default and you can opt out at any time using the controls above. Either way, your explicit choice is always honored.
We do not sell or share your personal information
Retire BFF does not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only optional data we collect is anonymous usage analytics, through Google Analytics, to understand which guides and tools are useful and improve them.
Third-party services
We load Google Analytics directly, with no tag manager in between, and only after you have accepted analytics cookies. Nothing analytics-related runs before that.
Changes to this policy
If we add new cookie categories or materially change how we use cookies, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date, and re-show the consent banner so you can review your choices.
